Ever thought it might be nice to spend a few hours a week lecturing, and not have to give up pursuing your own career in film?
Film School Africa College is a Christian institution focused on the integration of faith and learning. We are looking for teachers to give instruction in many areas, the most immediate of which are cinematography (camera work/lighting) and screenwriting. The curriculum is outlined and would require a part-time staff member to teach a few hours each week, and would require some feedback on student projects and grading.
The first term of 2018, runs from approximately February through end of March, will be the most demanding on your schedule. The second term runs from early May through end of June.
We are currently located in Somerset West, but we are looking to move closer to Cape Town by 2019 at the latest.

Salary: R300.00 to R400.00 /day
We are also looking for a resident director, preferably male or a married couple since we have mostly male students attending. The resident director will live on campus (for the 2018 school year probably in the same large house) with the students. He/They will need to be a solid Christian, a good role model and enjoy working with college students from various backgrounds. He/They will need good communication skills and a willingness to have fun, but will also need to be strict in addressing any issues that arise directly and with love.
In addition to a monthly salary, housing will also be provided for this position. The ability to drive and a driver's license is essential. We are currently located in Somerset West, but we are looking to move closer to Cape Town by 2019 at the latest. Position starts mid-January 2018 and ends mid-November 2018. Month of December is paid holiday with several long school holiday breaks throughout the year.
